Pros
Indigo Slate (the Zensar US org) was an amazing place to work for the years I was there. It's filled with creative, passionate people who wanted to solve marketing challenges for our clients. Indigo Slate before the Zensar acquisition was a small boutique marketing firm that was getting better. Since the acquisition it's been nothing but corporate roadblocks and outrageous demands from the Indian conglomerate that has no business directing things in the US, let alone in a creative marketing space. They are out of touch and completely mistaken in their strategies.
Cons
Misogynistic, white, top heavy leadership structure. - The leadership team (previously the Senior Leadership Team) is a majority white, majority male dominated (there has never been a senior leader who has been femme presenting and it's very obvious) group. The diversity and inclusion efforts are admirable but all too often are undercut by the bottom line of the top company officers/partners. Next to no leadership in the executive team. - The people in charge are the same ones that have led through a half dozen other hiring and layoff cycles over the last 10 years. Just browse the reviews, that culture hasn't changed, Zensar has simply made it worse. Sadly anyone who challenges the status quo or tries to demonstrate a better business practice/innovation often gets sidelined unless it comes from the high ups. Extremely short sighted fiscal policy - Example: open a new office in Pioneer square and give hundreds of thousands in raises to top leadership in Jan-April; lay off 35 people in August of the same year, less than 4 months later. There is no budgeting, there are almost no actual fiscal policies that are enforced/enforceable. Managers are all silo'd and fight for their own fiefdoms. They talk a good game, but they don't deliver.
