Pros

Unique company in the Detroit area. Has the feel, freedom, and productivity of a small startup while having the financial backing of a large corporation. Its great to feel like you actually make an impact on the software we develop and have the opportunity to have your voice heard in the decision making. From a personal development perspective it has more opportunity than any of the other autonomous car companies in the Detroit area.

Cons

Things can feel chaotic at times, but thats just the side effects of a fast paced open environment. Communication and collaboration with the Swedish and German offices could improve.

Zenuity is a powerful startup in the AD industry with the support of Volvo and Autoliv. The approach to reach the level 4 and 5 autonomy is with R&D. This is a great opportunity to explore and learn...but you'll make losts and lots of mistakes because no one knows and no-one can tech you or guide. Great place to grow if you're not an expert

Cons

The company took many of its employees from both parent companies and they come with rules, hierarchy and expectations that the new startup have been kinda forced to take. The company has confused "expertise" with "leadership", making many of the legacy employees from the parent companies leaders. Many of them are far from leaders despite their great expertise. Zenuity doesn't impose a strict work ethic behavior and some of the employees feel free and ok bullying and disrespect you in front of others without any fears since they are abusing their status of being dependable.
