A steady paycheck and you get to work with a few talented people that have been so beaten down they lack any confidence in themselves
Cons
The owner loves to make pretty speeches and have townhalls raving about family and team and collaboration and purpose. Seems great if it was actually true. What is actually true is that Zimmerman has earned their terrible reputation. The expectation is to come early, stay late and forgo having any balance in your life. Even those that do are subject to frequent scolding from the higher ups. You have zero margin for error and they definitely let you know that. They like to refer to themselves as "the machine" and that is exactly what you are treated like, a machine. They do not care about any of their employees and would not dare to care about anything going on in their employee's lives. I have watched so many people get blindsided by being fired, not for performance, but for not drinking the Zimmerman Kool-Aid. Coworkers breaking down into tears is commonplace with the reaction from management being "I don't know how to react to your emotion". The stress is unrelenting and the environment (in office or remote) is truly toxic. Please avoid this place at all costs!
