Pros

- Good culture and work environment in 3 departments I have worked at, except for a few toxic managers here and there. - Compensation comparable to other large banks. - Company tries to communicate all important policies and decisions.

Cons

Challenges (common to most large companies): - Decision that are supposed to save company money, in practice lead to higher error rate, more friction between departments, and unhappier customers, because they are made by higher level managers who don't understand the consequences (e.g. transferring loan operation from affiliates to bancorp, dissolving and creating departments, adopting new software, outsourcing). - Too many meetings with little to no benefit to productivity. - Lack of power for lower level managers to make helpful changes because of the company's tall organizational structure. - A lot of managers' resistance to new ideas and change. - Company has been making genuine effort to help employees grow but it's not successful because it is based on incorrect understanding of what makes a good manager. - Technology problems such as software issues and getting needed access. - Back-to-office mandate has led to many employees very unhappy or leaving, without any seemingly positive results for company productivity.

Pros

none. bad place in the contracts group

Cons

I can't recommend enough that future employees avoid working in the Enterprise Contracts Group. My "manager" was so concerned with how my own email inbox was organized that she eventually started intentionally trying to set me up to fail because I didn't love her organization idea of doing what would eventually amount to creating hundreds of email folders. I actually had to schedule meeting and share my screen with her because she so concerned with how my emails looked as if I was a kid. There was a lot of bad favoritism, too. Different people had different standards. I tried to tell higher leadership about what was going on in the enterprise contracts group and then they flipped it around as if I was the issue and tried pushing me out. The company also was not supportive of employees. I graduated from a wll-ranked law school and the company wasn't supportive of me trying to get my law license. Just a horrible experience. Also, during my first 6 months here they had me do very low level tasks yet I was the only one out of the group that went to a high ranked law school. The place was a joke!!!! HR was bad too as they just covered up what what the manager was doing as she was settiing me up.
