Decent culture, horrible benefits - Anonymous employee Zions Bank Employee Review

Pros

Not a lot of micro management. Bank has just about any product or service to offer their clients.

Cons

Pay is a little low with upper management giving bad excuses for why not to give cost of living increases that keep us with inflation. No problem decreasing benefits because of inflation. This upcoming year will have a larger increase in deductible and medical expenses than the annual cost of living raise. Seem more worried about appeasing shareholders than employees. Annual incentives are discretionary. Employees are given goals they are expected to hit, but are not told what their incentive is when hitting said goals until after the end of the year. Their operating systems are the worst ever seen. Usually requires multiple systems to answer simple questions and help clients.

Pros

Great support from superiors on reaching goals. High level of satisfaction from building success in a branch setting.

Cons

Health insurance could be better. Benefits are overall okay. PTO is below what I would expect, and includes sick time which makes taking care of yourself difficult when you have to choose between enjoying a vacation day or saving it in case you get sick.
