Pros
The people are talented and dedicated. The team mentality dominates and there seems to be little in the way of drama. Benefits are also decent and PTO is generous compared to other employers. Time off is rarely denied. Depending on job responsibilities, lenient with work hours.
Cons
Mixed signals again and again. The organization has gotten very lean and everyone is more or less set in their position but HR pushes colleague development and advancement. This hurts in two ways. First, everyone is taking on more with little reward to cover the growing workload. Second, told point blank by HR that movement would be lateral, not vertical, from here on out, so getting any kind of raise is difficult beyond the standard yearly 3%. Promotions are almost non-existent in some areas as basic structure below department head is STILL uncertain making advancement impossible.
