Pros

Most of Zolon's people are fabulous: smart, hardworking, team-oriented, focused on the right priorities, friendly, and helpful.

Cons

Unfortunately, a few in very key corporate leadership positions are inexplicably cheap and myopic, or interested in playing office politics in furtherance of their own careers...often at the expense of customers and staff. Also, the benefits are significantly below average for the industry and the 401(k) is tragically terrible: you cannot find a worse 401(k) in this industry.

Pros

It allowed remote work. A placeholder until a better job becomes available.

Cons

My experience with this company was disappointing overall. As a small consulting/body-shop organization, there is a strong emphasis on keeping overhead low, which often translates into limited benefits and minimal job security. Employment stability is heavily tied to client contracts, so when a contract ends, employees may find themselves without a clear path forward. The management style felt highly micromanaged, which made it difficult to work independently and contributed to a stressful work environment. Communication and leadership support were also lacking. In particular, my manager often came across as inauthentic, and the overall atmosphere felt unwelcoming rather than collaborative. While some employees may appreciate the opportunity to gain client experience, prospective hires should carefully consider the limited benefits, contract-dependent job security, and management culture before accepting a position.
