Pros
It’s a good job market and current employees should be able to find jobs elsewhere.
Cons
It is amazing to see a true American success story that a movie should be made from turn into a working H hole. All on account of just a few changes in key leadership positions. From outstanding men who founded this company to people who wouldn’t know what the field looks like or how to sell into it if it hit them square in the face. The new sales leadership has never sold anything comparable to what Zonar sales, check there LinkedIn. With zero experience and no interest in learning how to succeed from the veterans who have helped built this company, sales leadership has made drastic errors that have caused the majority of seasoned sales staff to leave recently or plan to leave soon. It’s hard to have a conversation with the new upper sales managers that have never sold a SAAS model, the ignorance is rich and the funniest part is who cares because they won’t be around long enough to see the destruction from there foolish ways and changes made. There not going to hit there number because of their ignorance of the technology and their highly ineffective leadership style. Let’s not be confused though, not all this should be pinned on the sales leadership. Much of this is top down, with the CEO caring more about who reads his blog then how to satisfy a current customer and win a new customer. He is more interested in protecting his personal friends hired in upper management roles that they have no right being in then booking business and keeping current business. The new compensation package is literally half what we have been making since the beginning. There answer to that was sales people have made to much money. There follow up was the way we have paid our sales reps is unsustainable. Really? It was sustainable for the last 18 years and was a big part of making Zonar one of the best telematics companies (which Zonar is far, far from anymore) from scratch. Good luck getting and retaining top sales talent if you think they get paid too much. The successful sales people at Zonar have always been the highest paid staff with the exception of C level. This was the case because the former leadership new that sales butters the bread and is one of the most important group of individuals because they generate the revenue. Now the bean counters who kill deals and cut commissions are considered the most important. Hello sales leadership - does that make sense? Here’s a good idea, go come up with a new “flywheel” jack-ball idea (a sales leadership idea to distract the sales department from how bad they have made it with a sales management model called “flywheel”) and tell us it’s the most important month in the most important quarter of company history, again. Sounded okay the first five times, now it just makes us feel sorry for you.
