Pros
In all my years of professional work, I've never had an organization provide dedicated time on developing enablement programs, from onboarding, continued education, positive support from our leaders, mentors, and sponsors. I appreciate that Zoom promotes inclusivity and equity. They really do invest in people's mental and physical wellness. It is not just about work but the positive social impact we make professionally, personally, and around the world. I'm very impressed with the transparency and regular communications that the executive leaders and their staff model. I've never seen so many diverse people in a workplace from different ethnic backgrounds, gender, and all backgrounds. It is very common for many happy Zoomiees to say they felt like they just started last week, even though they have been here for a little while. I love that they support giving back to our communities. I've also never seen so many heritage holidays and diversity, equity, inclusion-related initiatives be so well promoted and the level of participation that people have in Zoom. I really do feel like a co-owner when they inform us and give us the power to make a positive difference in the interactions we make as a Zoom family. I could not recommend Zoom more and I wish more organizations would follow the examples of culture-building here. If I had to be honest, I felt like after joining Zoom, I was doing detox on all the previous toxic environments I worked for before. Almost everything that most employees did not want in many bad companies we get the good things here. It is so refreshing to be treated with respect, love, and care. I look forward to growing with Zoom!
