Pros
The company is extremely innovative and they are trying to change the negative aspects of the health care industry. Nearly all of the people I work with are friendly and work as a team.
Cons
This company is too focused on expanding and is not paying attention to the needs of their departments and their staff. Virtually every department here is understaffed and you are expected to work a ton of overtime just to keep up and most of the people except the clinic associates are salaried, so you aren't even compensated for all of your hard work. Our company-provided self-insurance is a joke. You can never get anyone to answer the phone to ask a question about coverage and they don't respond to messages for several days. Promotions from within are promised to employees and then they're stepped over to hire an outside person and people get extremely hurt and upset because they feel that they're getting pushed down the totem pole. They expect you to live to work not work to live and several of the department heads frequently work up to 18 hours a day. How are you supposed to have a life or time for your family? Also, there is only one person providing tech support for critical issues that keep you from doing your work and the issues are not being addressed for hours at a time. We have more people focusing on software development on the tech team than helping fix the everyday tech problems that arise.
