Pros

- Lots of horizontal and vertical growth opportunities within the org - Start up mentality while operating as a major ENT organization (Although the org is large and does a lot these days, it still retains its ability to be nimble and make game time decisions and changes that net positive results) - Leadership is incredibly transparent without it being a scolding session, no beating around the bush without making excuses and pushing the fault to others. Leadership is incredibly thorough and drills down to the front line to make sure every individual is supported and able to flourish without it being a micromanaged experience

Cons

- Chasing Hype : The org operates in a /very/ competitive market, so pursuing differentiating factors and chasing the hot item of the moment is a trend I've noticed in my 2.5 year tenure. Whether this is data orchestration tools, LLM meeting assistants or GenAI, there's a lot of aligning around current market trends and demands. This has been a net positive so far, but it does mean that one shouldn't get comfortable in what they're currently doing today because more than likely it will change within the year (this ties back into the Pro being a Start Up mentality, this is the other side of the coin that comes with it). With pursuing the hot items in the market, the scope and long term vision for the company does tend to shift a bit with each new focus. During my time, I've seen the company go from a Data Broker with some efficiency tools to a full scale Go-to-Market solution and positions itself as such. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, change is good! But you have to expect the change while working here. - With a large org doing a lot on the day to day basis, not everything is always communicated as well as it could be. This tends to be mainly with minor updates to products that get pushed out immediately. - Outside of commissionable roles, there's not a lot of ways to increase your take home outside of the Annual Bonus, SPIFFs are generally swag and prize based rather than raw monetary compensation.

Pros

The people. My peers in marketing are experienced, fun, and whip-smart. Colleagues, even those long gone, have continued to be supportive of one another in ways I've not seen at other companies. The networking is amazing. Although it may also be trauma bonding.

Cons

Marketing is always the scapegoat here and will always get hit hard when there are layoffs. In early summer 2025 they laid off nearly the entire product marketing team - from 26 people to 2- and "replaced" them with AI. Morale never recovered, the messaging has never been clearly communicated since then, and the worst part is CEO Henry Schuck went on a podcast to brag about it. Talk about out of touch. In the entire time I worked there, marketing leadership was sorely lacking. There has never been clear direction. This is still a problem with the new CMO, who is both heavily involved at a micro level and yet opaque about important things the whole department should know. And now the constant trimmings... Er, layoffs... no -- "exits" -- have gotten even more extreme. We're just wholesale replacing standard, strategic marketing positions and even teams with agencies. Which is quite a look for a billion dollar company. It might be worth it to work here for 6 months or a year if you can manage for the experience and connections, but the constant strategic switch-ups and looming inevitability of layoffs will wear you down. And soon you'll be looking for an escape route so you can say "you can't lay me off, I quit."
