Pros

Excellent wellness initiatives, with an on-site wellness director who strives to make employees healthier through proactive measures. You will learn about everything you don’t want in your future job’s culture.

Cons

I read these reviews prior to onboarding, thinking that negative posts were written by people who lacked the mindset to thrive and excel. My mistake. Turnover is terrible because the day-to-day work environment is unhealthy. It’s rather ironic, keeping in consideration the extracurricular wellness efforts. The fluffy amenities are designed to keep you at your desk. This was understood from interview #1 and I accepted that tradeoff. I didn’t realize I also accepted routine excessive hours that weren’t initially outlined...meaning my salary became unreasonable. The robbery of pay and time is nothing short of disrespect. Lastly, their execution of coaching starts out constructive, but eventually spirals to verbal mistreatment. This trickles down from the CEO and it’s horrific. From day 1 I was left with knots in my stomach after watching, and eventually enduring, this ‘investment in growth.’

Pros

Expanding company with significant upside. Great comp packages and very quick growth opportunities. Benefits packages are over the top too.

Cons

High expectations around client experience can lead to high work load periods. It’s always been worth it in the the end but it’s definitely not a 9-5.

Pros

Free food & coffee, good benefits

Cons

The worst management and leadership I have ever experienced. Hostile, abusive, toxic, and extreme lack of professionalism. If you went to a top law school and are looking for a respectable job, DO NOT work here. Sadly, your career will begin and end here if you don’t get out quickly. Certain supervisors/senior attorneys displayed signs of active addiction/use during work trips and work hours, which created a very scary and concerning environment. They also severely underpay attorneys and make you “earn” an office. There are so many actual law firms in Houston, so please stay as far away from this place as possible.
