Pros
Was able to build an amazing team, store was turned from a bottom performer to a top ranking store within 6 months of taking it over. Best part of my job was my employees.
Cons
Judgemental environment. Not the typical retail drama, more catty. High turnover rate in roles outside of district manager. You never know what someone is saying behind your back, even if you feel like that person in the moment supported you. Management outside of boutiques were passive aggressive and didn't know the boundaries of what's appropriate to speak about to employees and what crosses the line.
