Pros

Plenty of overtime, even on a contract with few hours 50% discount on lunch, 15% discount otherwise Close to home Can progress in the company very quickly Possibility of owning BP shares through your paycheck Monthly online surveys that give shopping vouchers

Cons

Can be asked to work long shifts - as long as 14 hours & constantly being phoned to come in on your days off High labour turnover A terrible company culture - a very catty atmosphere Little to no assistance from duty/deputy/store managers when you are on the management progression scheme Lots of health & safety laws to abide by (eg; for fuels, cooking food, etc) Low pay in comparison to other retailers

Pros

Supportive team environment with good learning opportunities and exposure to large-scale projects. Compensation and benefits are competitive, and the company offers strong brand recognition and career development resources.

Cons

Decision-making can be slow due to layers of management, and processes sometimes feel overly bureaucratic. Workload and priorities can shift quickly, which may create stress depending on the team.
