Pros
I’ve only been with the organization for a couple of months, but already I’ve been made to feel welcome and part of the team. All input is valued and although we’re part of the larger ‘BP Brand’ there is no real legacy or ‘big brother’ approach to working. We’ve been allowed to explore the market place and work out a strategy that best suits our EV customer needs and the ambition of the government in their ‘roadmap to zero’ plan for 2030. I’ve found the senior team to be open to suggestions/questions and there’s a real ‘whatever’s best for the customer’ approach to how we create our strategies and look to develop the existing offering. Colleagues are great, there’s a nice mix of people who’ve worked within BP, those that have experience of EV and those new to the whole environment from other various industries. The building (at Milton Keynes) is bright, modern, centrally located and was only opened earlier this year. I’m enjoying my time so far and am looking forward to the challenge/s that will inevitably come from rolling out the governments ambitions over the next 10 years in this fast-paced industry.
Cons
At this stage, the workload is high, but this was always to be expected - other than getting up to speed with EV and the approach, I’d say there aren’t many negatives.
