Pros
I had great coworkers who were very understanding and patient with me being a newcomer. The company also had good benefits, but some of them were reserved for full-time employees.
Cons
All employees get timed, even the newcomers. Cashiers are timed to see if they’re performing numbers that are 100% and up, even if they’re new and in the probationary period. They can get written up for being too slow. Because of this, managers have to pressure their employees to be faster or else they could also get in trouble. The company encourages speed over care, so mistakes are bound to be made and customers are bound to feel rushed as well. Full time employees may also be scheduled to work 7+ days in a row. Pay is too little for the amount of stress employees are put under.
