Pros
they have some lenient managers and as long as you are doing your job they are not micromanaging you. you could get some bonuses if you get the most amount of call transfers its a total bonus of $350 but you have to be the top person out of all BDRI's once you get to BDRII you could get up to $2.50 for every transfer you make if youre the top person and above 90% of the team average. 10% commission on all sales. and it goes based off the annual premium for the life insurance as a BDRII/CSS you dont get any clawbacks on sales so if someone cancels you still get paid out for the sale and efinancial takes the hit.
Cons
The leads they get are not reliable you can have a very good day and get a lot of transfers one day and then the next you could get a lot of voicemails and hang ups. your job as a bdr is based off your transfer% how many calls to transfers you have. if you fall below 90% of the team average for the week you could get put on a performance development plan. Essentailly youre on probtion and if you dont bring your % up in the next week you will get your final pdp warning. after two weeks if you dont have your % to at least 90% of the team average then you get fired. The only thing about that is that you can not control the leads the get. Its unfair and the management themself have no idea how the leads are generated and separated to each BDR. It seems like it pure luck on which type of calls you get. I was working there as a BDRI for 5 months and the first 3 months i was getting bonuses every month for the most transfers then one day i started getting a lot of bad calls where they are just hang ups or voicemails. It doesnt take any type of skill to do the work in the BDRI position, you do have to fight some objections but its fairly easy. It's impossible for someone to suck at the job. I was put on a pdp multiple times in the range of 2 months and thats because the leads they are have are reused and old. as an AE you get clawbacks and some people have got $12k in clawbacks from one commission check. you could make a lot of money in AE but its not as steady as the CSS position. you could control your check better when you are selling as a CSS. Benefits are kind of expensive and you get accrued pto every pay period (15th/30th) you get 3.5 hrs of pto. you have 2 paid holidays and you accrue sick time as well about 2hrs every pay period
