Pros
eXp has so many free resources, or maybe they are covered by the low $85/virtual desk fee, I don't know. If they are, they it's worth it! We get KVCore, SkySlope and a website for free. The split is also very generous. I'm still a new agent and only have 1 of my 3 needed transactions before my split is 80/20, but my first commission on a very modest buyer transaction that took 10 weeks from start to finish at only 2% commission from a FSBO already paid me 14% more than I made at my old job. My cons seems longer than my pros, but I am really very happy here, I just think it's important to let companies know how they can improve the process for their contractors.
Cons
It's hard for new agents unless you have a really great mentors. My mentor is great, but I would like more help as far as the business end, shared templates, checklists, etc. and that is one request that has gone unanswered. Also, it would have been nice to have been warned away from Zillow and other companies calling daily to "help increase your visibility" or "generate leads" with contracts that include monthly payments for 6 mos. to a year. It's a trap that is easy to fall into when you are desperate for new clients. Regardless, I feel like I have a mentor who cares and has always been there for me when I text or email in a panic, even when he's on vacation. Also, our free marketing items are very basic and I would never use them. You can get better items on Etsy or using Canva (but you will need to invest the time to learn it.).
