Pros
Flexibility. If you need time off, it's very, very, very easy to get the time off. Fun. If you like organizing stuff and have a bit of OCD tendencies, you will enjoy the work Independence. If you are self-motivated and like working by yourself, this is good for you. Social. Even though you often work by yourself, you're in a retail establishment, so you do have the opportunity to talk with customers, other vendors, coworkers and store staff. Anti Social. If you don't like being social, you can usually just keep to yourself.
Cons
Part time, irregular, unpredictable work subject to cancellations, or limitations because the supplies or fixtures you need are not on site when you arrive. Paperwork. A lot of paperwork to read before any given job, plus a lot of paperwork to fill out after the job, and again after you get home. A lot of it is duplicate stuff that's a waste of time. You also have to submit photos of your work to prove you did it. Little training, if any. You learn by asking coworkers. As a result, everyone does things differently and eventually, someone will yell at you for doing things wrong, even though you're doing things the way you were trained. Thankless job, usually. The Footprint staff is impersonal and never praises you, and rarely thanks you. Even then, the thank you is via email, so you don't know if it's sincere, or a form letter.
