* Understaffed. Like a lot of the service industry, saving costs at every turn from avocados to nitpicking on exact measurements of portions yet not manning a store realistically for peaks. * Upper management is cut-throat, being in competition with their equals for more bonuses at the expense of store employees. * Visible employee burn-out, no one seems exempt from this. * Little incentive to tolerate the high volume and the really bad clients who keep coming back. Management does little to NOTHING to keep the ones who keep stealing from the establishment; they will NOT have your back. * "The customer is always right!" culture. * Company has a hard time retaining good managers. $17/hour for a high-pressure supervisory role is hilariously not enough, even with a percentage of tips. This job is not an entry-level supervisory role by any means. You will juggle a lot of responsibilities. * Lots of busy work, largely due to high pressure on General Manager.
