Pros

I enjoy working here because I believe in the products and the healthier way of living. I enjoy the people I work with at iHerb. When I first started everyone was very nice and friendly and welcomed me to the team. I am very close to home so the commute is quick. Hours are excellent and the job is challenging but keeps me on my toes. I appreciate the health benefits we have here. The snacks and coffee. It helps so much not to be hungry at work. I am proud to be associated with such a great company and would like to learn and grow as much as possible.

Cons

Sometimes I feel that communication through only email and chat can be misinterpreted or actually misunderstood. Different people interpret differently. I would say that communication could always be better.

Thank you for leaving such a detailed review. It is a pleasure to hear that you are enjoying the perks of free snacks, a healthy work-life balance, and a rewarding position. In a very technological company, in addition to the world in general, it is important that we, as individuals, get up from the computer screen and interact as often as we can. This recommendation will be shared as a gentle reminder to all, that in-person interaction is always preferred as the primary method of communication. Thank you again for your great suggestion and your partnership in making iHerb the "Company of Choice."

Pros

iHerb pays 100% of medical benefits for you and your immediate family. They are generous with vacation accruals. Salaries are generous.

Cons

The company continues to operate with a small-business, "mom-and-pop" mentality despite its growth. Leadership is highly centralized, with most decisions driven by the CEO. Employees often perceive that those who are not viewed favorably by leadership are eventually managed out of the organization. There is a culture of fear around speaking up, as many employees worry about potential negative consequences to their employment. Favoritism among leaders is frequently observed, and advancement opportunities can be limited for individuals who are not part of the preferred inner circle.
