Pros
Easy job. No stress. Good development team.
Cons
Even the most longstanding employees do not fully understand the system. They do not use it or test it in the real-world and therefore have no understanding as to how it is used. It's easy enough to determine how the system behaves under specific criteria but when asking 'why' the system is designed to behave a specific way it is like pulling teeth. The customers feel the same way. There is no such things as customer advocacy at iMedRIS and anyone who tries to represent the customer to the company is treated badly by the rest of the staff. A customer may simply desire to understand the Philosophy of Use for a simple module but the staff themselves don't know so when you mention that the expected behavior is one thing and the actual behavior is the other then they will simply tell you that they're not going to change anything and they're not going to explain the reasoning (good luck). This is not a software company that understands that friction is required to make something sharp. They cannot explain the logic behind their [programming] decisions and the customers are left to suffer.
