Pros
There's a supportive and fun culture that aims to achieve work-life-balance and strong team (and cross-functional) relationships. The product and service are innovative; seemingly straightforward, but very complex interdependencies that offer interesting challenges to tackle. An overall recognition of the value of good customer and patient experiences. Cross-functional access allows the ability to explore the inner workings of the company and even explore career opportunities.
Cons
The ongoing challenge of getting clear cross-functional alignment on priorities is indicative of the growing pains. That poor alignment can and has impacted timelines, resourcing, and morale. Admittedly, the culture varies depending on department - I can only speak from my (very positive) experience in R&D.
