Pros

I've been working at iSpot for over a year and think its an amazing place to work. This is a small startup tech company so there are growing pains but the work is interesting; the people are friendly, communicative and supportive and the product is a gold mine. I've had incredible freedom to define my role and the luck of having a manager to push for my growth and to shine my accomplishments. I am on the technical side under engineering so my experiences might be a little different than others.

Cons

As mentioned in other posts there is a bit of a sexism problem at iSpot. However, they have started a women in tech group which has had some interesting speakers and brought to light how we as women can help each other and ourselves. Additionally, there has been an obvious intention of hiring women in managerial and VP positions since the original questionnaire indicated a problem. There are some growing pains as with all startups, we do have communication problems on what is new and changing and things change very fast. But we have added some very competent data scientists that are going to stabilize our metrics and ensure our data integrity going forward.

Pros

The work mixes creativity and data-driven decisions. I like the team-centric environment and the variety of projects. There are real chances to develop new skills here. The benefits and work-life balance are good.

Cons

Product releases and campaign launches bring a lot of pressure.
