The job isn't bad most of the time. Management seems decent at least during all hands on deck meeting. Coworkers are all good people. You get to deal with all sorts of interesting issues and people.
Cons
You can be a top performer job and knowledge wise but it will get you nowhere. You might as well be one of the techs with very little product knowledge. If you apply for internally for job postings you won't even get an interview unless it's a lateral move. Seems to be no way to grow. Field service is the backbone of the company but I feel more like we are considered a unfortunate necessity. There isn't currently even a path to senior field technician. You're literally stuck in place.
