Pros

pretty good benefits like unlimited sick days, paid time off, potential to take unpaid sabbatical, employee discount.

Cons

Here is a sample of issues I experienced but there are a vast many more and in greater detail that I won't bother to write: - I had several bad managers over my tenure. One who micromanaged and distrusted me despite her having no technical understanding of my role. One who actually bullied me and said racist things in front of our team. Several who would not stick up for their own team and protect us against unreasonable demands from cross functional partners; subsequently these managers COULD NOT handle and negative feedback in regards to such from their direct reports. - company gaslighting you about "being in choice" about various things but if you don't comply you can get fired. Ex: people in my role were the first to be sent back to the office during COVID, starting only a few weeks after we started working remotely. If you decided not to go then someone else on the team had to agree to do your in office tasks for you. - The way the women's product team is run is completely misaligned with the company's stated cultural values. Anyone who actually works on the product consistently were the unhappiest teams in the company (confirmed by lulu's internal surveys) - fatphobia abounds, but not surprising given the territory - racism that even when reported nothing happens - a specific director who MULTIPLE PEOPLE quit because of her and yet they never fired her - during my tenure, the annual bonus payout is based on company performance, department performance and personal performance of goals that you set that are OUTSIDE of your day to day responsibilities. Because one of the company values is Entrepreneurship, you are expected to create and document standard processes for various functions but you can never complete your bonus project and roll it out for adoption because the company has too much red tape and your project will get cancelled or no one can agree on what the process should be and so for years everyone continues to have to haphazardly figure out how to do the role in their own way which is chaotic given the size of the company. So year after year, I cannot actually achieve any of the project goals and then I'm supposed to have the motivation to come up with a new project for the next year. It felt like constantly having to chase a carrot and having it pulled away, and then being told to chase the carrot again.

Pros

The benefits with the sweaty Pursuits is good and the insurance is good too! You get a team that you get to put together and get to know them and see what works for you guys to be successful in a processing shift!

Cons

The nights are long and very overworked. They ask a lot from you and usually they put the business before you. It’s always we need this and that from the managers but not actually taking time to help or to actually see that we are trying our best and if they actually worked a shift with us and saw the struggles they would understand more. They think it’s easy, when the weight of the store depends on us. You are also qualified as a Guest Experience lead since you have to do both trainings so the management do over utilise that and you will be doing two jobs. Even though it says in the description to support the floor but there’s a difference between supporting from time to time and doing it all the time where you are running the floor and the back at the same time but they’ll say “oh why isn’t this done?” Maybe because you’ve told me to help you out ? The are also very selective about who moves up to be a manager. No work life balance at all!
