Lots of senior leadership has been with the company for 10-20 years. This can be great for institutional knowledge and consistency but can also create significant blindspots. Modernization of tools, systems and employee expectations can sometimes feel outdated, completely manual or slow. Investment decisions can sometimes feel pennywise but pound foolish.
