Pros
- People oriented work culture and environment. - Interesting problems to solve. - Inspiring and transparent leadership. - Flexible career opportunities. This company doesn't forget that we're all people and while there's a lot of hard work to be done we take the time and effort to ensure that we are all having fun along the way. There's a strong emphasis on diversity and inclusion and accommodation to varying work-styles. The leaders are transparent about decisions and don't distance themselves from the rest of the company. Management is open to engineers taking on projects from another field of interest in order to progress their knowledge and experience. My favorite time of the day is lunch when we all sit together and chat or crack jokes while we eat.
Cons
- Still some internal workflow and communication hiccups (but actively learning from and addressing them well). - Smaller team means more work for each individual and longer timelines for bigger projects. We're a young company and are still learning some best practices with the way we communicate and execute projects. We're still a relatively small team and there's a lot of work that needs to be done which means each individual usually has a lot on their plate and bigger projects can sometimes take a while to complete.
