Pros
Get paid (less than they promised)
Cons
Literally everything else. I was the service manager at the Bozeman location, and we saw more turnover there then I ever thought possible. They paid their floor techs minimum wage, meaning nobody who actually knows tech would apply, so it was a bunch of untrained teenagers trying to troubleshoot computers they knew nothing about. Every 6 months it was a whole new crew, except for me. The original manager got injured by a vendor at a SimplyMac meeting and SimplyMac fired him because he couldn't come to work because his leg was all mangled. They promised bonuses but never paid, upper management never communicated with anyone, the whole store was rife with rumor and bad mouthing between everyone. Everything that could be wrong was wrong, I literally could write a novel about how bad SimplyMac was to work for, and I was in a management position. I heard they are shutting down a bunch of their stores because they aren't profitable. I'm surprised they haven't all shut down completely. Working there was the lowest point in my tech repair career and I am so glad to be free and far away from that horrible company. By far the worst employer I have ever had in my life of working for 20+ years.
