Pros
I've learned more about Mac computers and iOS devices than I ever could have imagined in just a few months. Working here has been solely responsible for re-inspiring my love for technology. As a repair technician, you are looked up to in the work place, it's turned out to be an almost managerial position with decent pay in 2017 but does not come without headache.
Cons
Simplymac is at the complete and total mercy of Apple, and Apple is not as well organized as you would think. You have multiple daily conversations with angry customers who were sent from either phone support or just routed to Simplymac from online.. and will spend half of your shift apologizing on Apples behalf while taking the brunt of the blame because you cannot help them with what Apple promised you could. Aside from that, I think this is a great place to work for learning purposes but like all retail, it is a stepping stone. There seems to be no real room for advancement. There does not seem to be much incentive to advance; you receive a very small pay raise and a boat load of new responsibilities to move up into an assistant management position to look forward to what? By the way my store managers passion has seemed to have been drained from his body I cannot see a future with this company. This is the sad but true reality of store level retail.
