Pros
Orientation, food is very good and fresh made every day, making a customers day while making a salad is very awesome
Cons
I worked at Sweet Greens union square store and automatically notice on how they focus more on putting up a front on how much they value their employees and customers. While working there it was very clear to me that none of that was true. They don't train you well and expect you to already know the procedures. You never know what the rules are since every manager does what they want to do- like leaving the store to go shopping?! They definitely take advantage of employees (young ones) and make them spend way long after closing even if there is school the next day. They make sure you are aware that they (head coaches/ assistants) are better than you and make you feel inferior every day when you walk in. Favorites are a big thing so kissing up is a big deal to get to the top. During your interview and orientation they tell you a story on how Sweetgreen first started and they had block parties and made a lot of friends that show how much they care about people etc. etc. however customers are the least thing on their mind. Being passive aggressive to employees and customers must be a requirement to be a head coach. Their core values mean absolutely nothing to them, money and recognition is more important to them.
