      The product and implementation teams have very good leadership and direction. The financial stability of the company is very good but margins are tight

      Cons

      IT organization continues to speed along like the 1990s. Senior leadership is blind to the cultural problems Bullying is an acceptable management practice The drive to needing more margin and it increasing expense will cause fallout

      Pros

      Great-West says is mission is to help people retire with dignity. They really drive toward this rather than it just being lip-service, which I appreciate. The company has been improving its benefits and has made progress toward a more modern work environment (i.e. jeans, more flexible work time). The best thing about Great-West is the people. In general, the employees here are truly the nicest I've ever worked with.

      Cons

      While Great-West is making progress with things like benefits and a modern workplace mentality, the progress can feel a little slow at times. The company is financially conservative, which overall I can appreciate. However, sometimes policies (like travel) don't align and sometimes they need to invest a little more in their employees.
