Pros

The residents at my facility. They’re the only reason I’ve stayed for this long since they haven’t been used to a steady evaluating therapist presence.

Cons

No paid holidays, bad benefits, laughable “raises”, higher management doesn’t seem to care. Constantly being micro-managed about 360 and billing is insufferable at this point. Diversifying billing is good yes. But it’s almost coming across as a demand instead of informing us of how diversifying is good and trusting us to still decide treatments based on what the patient needs. God forbid we lose $15 because we felt the need to bill more of a certain code for that resident. CDs are overworked and incredibly underpaid and under-appreciated. They have way too much on their plate and you move the sticks on incentives for them and just create this impossible scenario to exist in. You’re prioritizing money over actual quality care and yet you send these emails preaching the opposite and expect us to comply.

Pros

No pros I can think of

Cons

Horrible callous management I once asked for chairs for the therapists that had lumbar support and the regional managers response was their days are designed so they shouldn’t be sitting for more than 10-15 min a time. Disgusting behavior. My productivity as a director was scrutinized even though it was acknowledged when I became director that I would have a lot administrative duties so productivity wasn’t a key factor in performance. I was once threatened with a PIP because the regional said I personally had used unapproved overtime but I had messages from them saying I was salary so I had no overtime. They didn’t go through with the pip because they knew I had evidence to support my side. This is a very money hungry and greedy company. They treat clinicians like reason reimbursement cogs. Which is funny because clinicians are literally their biggest source of revenue so they should be treated like gold while all the non revenue generating management should have every minute scrutinized in actuality. Also if you look up Empowerme wellness leadership in corporate management, that’s management above regional directors, you will notice a trend in non diversity in that suite of management. It’s easy to google them.

Thank you for taking time to write a review; we value and appreciate your feedback! We’re happy to read that you enjoyed the 1:1 treatment sessions; we believe residents and their communities deserve individualized, high-quality care built on relationships. As for needing to travel to multiple buildings for full time hours: EmpowerMe does all we can to keep our therapists in a single location whenever possible. Through our EmpowerMe 360 care model, we provide care coordination services that help team members reach their goals while traveling less. For situations where travel is necessary, we create "clusters" of communities with shared support systems and leadership teams to make working across multiple locations a positive experience for our therapists. Thank you again for your review! We wish you the best, and hope to see you at an EmpowerMe community again someday soon!
