Pros

Flexible scheduling, nice balance between outpatient adults and SNF but with cleaner/more stable patients. Easy documentation. Generally speaking the patients have great family support.

Cons

Currently using Casamba which is straight forward, switching to Nethealth soon. We've switched doc systems twice in the last 2 years so that's a bit annoying. FYI this company used to be called Orthopedic and Neurological Rehabilitation (ONR) and has been kind of a mess since transitioning to EMW. Couldn't get any funding for necessary supplies for dysphagia tx or formal tests for anything - so beware of that. The pay is low - $55 hr max. Multi-tier management is unclear and annoying - I find myself saying "who are you!?" a lot in my head when I get e-mails from higher ups. A lot of annoying e-mails to try to boost morale and re: productivity. Point of service documentation expectations (which should be a crime). Productivity expectation is like 87%. Dress code is business casual, no scrubs, which is weird.

Thank you for taking time to write a review; we value and appreciate your feedback! We’re proud of our truly flexible schedule and happy that it enables you to create the work/life balance that fits best! We’re pleased to read that you enjoy the opportunity of working with both outpatient and SNF residents. When we acquired ONR in 2022, we worked diligently to minimize the impact to our teams while moving to consistent business practices and guidelines unifying the two companies. As a result, we have made changes to the platforms we utilize to ensure consistent workflows for our team members, including technology designed to help our residents and their families conveniently connect with the EmpowerMe team. We’re listening to learn and appreciate your comments about our organizational structure and compensation. Thank you for your continued dedication as we work to improve the lives of seniors every day. With your help, we are making a difference!

Pros

Easy documentation system, wonderful patients

Cons

They promise full time, only get part time even between multiple buildings (near universal for therapists with the company). They don’t provide any actual therapy supplies for new rehab departments (or provide money or support for their development), therapists told to clock out of work if patient not ready and you have to wait for them

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback; we appreciate and value your input. We strive to continuously improve our employees' experience. We’re passionate about our mission of helping seniors thrive, so we're glad that wonderful residents is a highlight of working at EmpowerMe Wellness! While we are always looking for additional therapists to meet our residents’ growing needs, we do sometimes experience a shortage of demand for our services in some regions. We’re listening to learn and appreciate your comments about therapy supplies for new rehab departments. Thank you for your insight and for being part of our team!

Pros

Coworkers and facility were nice.

Cons

No training provided. Lack of resources/equipment to perform job. I was asked to justify the need for “pencils” when attempting to order materials! No raises or incentives for years of service, experience, or job performance. Company gifts employees a one-time gift of a single dollar for one year of service (I wish I was joking). Unequal treatment amongst employees at end of employment. Company does not payout PTO. Be cautious when considering employment with this company. I would recommend looking elsewhere.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re disappointed to hear that your experience with us didn’t align with our efforts to create an exceptional employee environment for all our team members. We’re working hard to create opportunities for our therapists to advance in their field, and what you are describing is far from the kind of experience we try to build. Our HR team would appreciate the opportunity to discuss this situation further so we can focus our efforts on any areas where we can improve and work to ensure all employees have a great experience at EmpowerMe Wellness. Thank you again — we wish you the best.
