Great people company try's to do the right things but little work life balance (3.5 stars)
Pros
- Good Benefits - Monthly flex days - Nice and cooperative people - Lots to learn from a leading company - Constant communication through newsletters, emails, and regular meetings - Company means well and is trying to focus on inclusion and sustainability though reality doesn’t always reflect the ambitious goals especially around diversity in senior levels - Coworkers from all over Canada and US can work together on the same team or project - Teams work well together
Cons
- Pay and other perks are lower for similar positions at other energy companies - very little work life balance especially in the head office. Most people regularly attend meetings and calls on days off - high demands and pressure everyone is trying to impress levels above them - Employee opinions and feedback on improvements and change not actioned. Senior leaders can be tone deaf especially around return to office - Very strong hierarchy every level puts their stamp on your work - Calgary office is cramped with little privacy cubicles very close to each other. Meeting rooms not setup well for virtual meetings
