The shift schedule allows for a healthy work-life balance. The benefits are great, including the Defined Benefit pension program (accessible after 5 years).

Cons

The wages are not particularly competitive.

It is still a good place to work if one can navigate the internal politics of the company as they provide decent compensation and benefits.

Cons

Company has too many levels of managers. Management is more interested in empire building than providing the adequate services. Was a good place before the Enbridge take over before the outsourcing of IT functions and many of the finance functions.

Cons

Very fast paced. You will need to figure out how to work smart instead of hard. Some people have to go for coffee every hour or two while others can be swamped. Very political and can be toxic. Promotion is not easy to come by. You can be in the same senior IC position for several years without promotion as a top performer
