Constant change

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

General job stability, not too concerned about lay offs

Cons

Constant management change from VP on down. Very little consistency for goal setting or responsibilities. The constant changes mean no one has any processes or procedures making it difficult for consistency. Additionally most management is now being run in Canada, who rarely come to Houston, however, they insist on office presence.

Avoid Cushing Region Management

Pros

The company offered some really nice benefits, such as a personal paid day off every month, and an excellent 401(k) and pension program. The employees in other parts of the company seemed happy in their roles, and the team atmosphere seemed to be stronger and more positive in other parts of the company. I think Enbridge as a whole isn't a bad company.

Cons

Cushing Region management was horrible. So much micromanagement and distrust with lower level employees. Workload was ever increasing. There were designated work hours in which you could not leave the office for anything. Micromanagement became so bad that you couldn't leave for lunch or use the restroom for number 2. Meanwhile, management came and went as they pleased to take care of personal business. Management got to use company trucks as if they were personal vehicles, but lower level employees would be disciplined if they made one personal stop with a company truck. Company vehicles also had very strict GPS and speed monitoring devices. All employees are expected to be on call, even if they don't receive on call benefits. If you challenge a manager, you will be terminated. Worst job I've ever heard.
