Pros

We're a small group of gifted can-do professionals with a laser focus on delivering value. The team is determined and extremely dedicated to each other and mutual success. I love the way we get things done. CEO is bold, creative and visionary. This all leads to an empowering environment with lots of personal growth opportunities.

Cons

We are in a high growth mode which means there is a lot of pressure to support clients, whatever it takes. The benefit is that we're doing it together; depending on each other and supporting each other along the way.

Not the Worst, But Not Good Either

Pros

Convenient, downtown location, very close to BART and bus lines. Snacks and drinks in office. Good 'starting gig'. Some great coworkers.

Cons

Poorly managed. Poor concept. Badly run. Mismanaged, disorganized, and some disgruntled employees. In need of clearer direction. Overall idea for company will not succeed.

Engage3 Response

Thank you for your review, especially the part about 'some great coworkers.' And sorry you had a poor experience. I'll be the first to admit that there were times between 2014-2015 when we weren't focused entirely on all the right things and definitely weren't streamlined. Happy to say that thanks to the team, our investors, our customers, and our partners, we were able to re-tool and re-focus on our key value proposition and the results have been spectacular. To respond to your cons, I would like to call out that the company is experiencing over 100% year over year growth for over 2 years in a row and is on track to more than double revenue again. The company has added new investors, new customers, and expanded product offerings. We've never had more traction and the company is already succeeding. Best of luck with your future endeavors.

growing pains

Pros

I worked at Engage3 for almost 1 year. There are a lot of very smart and hard-working people there. As they compete for Series B funding, their priorities are shifting and that can be disruptive, but the challenges are interesting.

Cons

The legacy code base is a millstone. Rather than trying to keep all services running for the few current users, it would be much better to suspend services while gutting the existing architecture and replacing it with something not designed in the 90s.
