Pros

England Logistics has a world class culture. Though this is a very competitive environment, everyone is genuinely willing to jump in and help out anyone. Our new employees are always pleasantly surprised when that actually happens. Management at England Logistics sees themselves as a talent development company. They are very focused on helping each employee develop themselves into a better, more effective employee by providing continuous training and strategic one on one planning sessions with supervisors. They are constantly looking to promote their employees and seek to fill positions internally first.

Cons

Transportation never stops, not even for holidays. That being said, many account managers frequently work after hours and holidays from home. Not that they're required to, but it provides their customers with excellent customer service. For an unfocused and under-motivated person, it can feel like England Logistics chews you up and spits you out. However, if you're properly motivated this can be a very rewarding job.

Pros

Great place to work, awesome co-workers. Team environment makes life comfortable with all the resources to succeed. I really enjoy working here, the company activities are fun and the work is exciting.

Cons

Sales commission is based off of ramp attainment % (a goal that increases every week and never stops increasing). I have never seen a commission structure like it. Would be better if the commission was tier based to make it simpler and easier for the Account Manager or Capacity Manager to understand what they will get for monthly commission.

Pros

The people are great, they genuinely care about you. EL is a big dog in the 3pl world so it's nice when you cold call customers and they already know about the company.

Cons

Benefits are pretty terrible, only 5 pto days your first year, then it jumps to 10 your second year. I found health insurance cheaper going outside the company than using the subsidized insurance EL offers. I think a majority of the sales floor look at EL as a stepping stone and not a final destination, maybe taking care of the employees would help that.
