Pros

A decent base pay but the commission is not there. Lot's of friendly people who work there but it can be hard to really get to know anyone because you are so tied to your phone. The company itself hits record numbers, but doesn't reward the employees who helped get them there.

Cons

Strict ramp goals. Much favoritism in promotions. Terribly expensive insurance. Long hours including weekends with no overtime pay.

Pros

Perhaps the best part of working here is the multiple levels of support and encouragement from both managers and peers! My immediate managers (have had 2: a training and my current manager) have been just amazing. This is a tough job, but for someone like me (who has worked at many sales companies) it is so great to have a good relationship and feel connected to my immediate supervisors, their managers and on up to the President of the company! All have been friendly, open to my input and have provided great incentives for success. To name a few: -We have short and to the point weekly meetings where achievement is recognized. -Recognition is posted on multiple tv's throughout the sales floor and updated often and daily. -Goals are very clearly identified and the path to growth is clear and straightforward -I love the little things too...small prizes, company store, free soda and drinks, casual fridays and much more -There are small and large rewards (I'm shooting to achieve President's Club...annual trip for top performers). -comfortable seating, computer and electronics to do my job and great internal support from IT Department. I could go on and on, but you get the idea. If a person isn't afraid to work very hard and think on their feet all day...you'll love working here. If you want a cushy job, go elsewhere. This is an intense environment, but one where it is easy to feed off the positive energy of peers and interesting customers that keep you on your toes.

Cons

Biggest challenge is simply the fact that the job requires a passion for excellence and a willingness to accept the inevitable disappointments that come when a sale falls through or there's a problem with a shipment, etc. In the freight business, I've decided to think of it as a basketball game...you take a lot of shots, make some and miss some; but in the end you have to let go of the misses and keep playing and wait until the game is over to celebrate the points you scored. I've also had to get used to working where many peers hear everything I say, but the good thing is you get immediate feedback and can move on quickly if you make a mistake.

Pros

They pay decently and are always doing company activities to help boost company moral. They are good to deal with to create a balanced home and work life. The work schedule is really nice and good for a family. Benefits are a bit pricey but good. It is overall a comfortable place to work at and has the capability of being a really good employer with some adjustments.

Cons

They have moved away from their roots of hard work pays off. They will promote and hire anyone who has a degree whether the are qualified for the position. Given the choice of a experienced well qualified applicant or current employee versus a new college graduate with no experience they will choose the person with the piece of paper. Again there is no room to advance if you don't have a degree even if you are a hard worker. It is a popularity contest the same people are always getting recognized. Last they are all about their account managers and senior account managers but fail to recognize others that help support the company and enable the ability for those individuals to succeed.
