Pros

England is the perfect place to start your career! They have a great on-boarding and on-going sales training program. I feel upper management really wants the Account Managers to be happy within their role and to be successful.

Cons

Base salary and commission should be re-evaluated to be competitive with the market. There are a few divisions within the company that need to develop with the transportation industry to be able to competitive with England competition.

Pros

The co-workers are the biggest positive to working at EL, but with almost 100% turnover, that positive is becoming a negative. A pro would also be if you were related to the President, then you would have the ability to get an executive job.

Cons

Our tag line is “Moving Logistics Forward”, but EL is not doing anything innovative to change the industry. Competitors that have been in business for a lot less time have made a much bigger impact on the industry and can deliver better value to their customers. Slogans do not make a difference to the customers or carriers that we work with. I spent many years at EL and I saw many really talented people come and go. The good people that leave usually go on to bigger and better things and they usually get replaced by lesser talent. We also really struggle to bring on new customers that have an impact on our monthly goals. We need real national sales people, just like the ones we used to have.

The executive team is genuinely interested and invested in your future. All you need to do is show them you're dedicated and they will find opportunities for you to grow your career.

Cons

It would be nice to switch things up every now and then. The spontaneous events and competitions turn out to be the most fun.
