Pros

Working in an essential industry and learning about logistics and freight will be relevant for years to come. This is a fast paced environment and everyone around you is high energy but also down to earth and always willing to collaborate and provide constructive feedback that is useful in your day to day.

Cons

Management turnover is low so you need to carve out a career niche which takes diligence and time. Some manager bandwidth is also low due to the amount of work on their plates.

Pros

Lots of growth opportunities and a great place to start a long lasting career. My personal favorite aspect of EL would be their focus on personal growth through mentoring coupled with a steady increase of responsibilities and leadership opportunities. The leadership team, including logistics coaches, are good people that want to help you succeed and are willing to walk you through the growth process. I do need to mention the culture. EL doesn't feel like a 'clock in, clock out' company because of its focus on team, culture and relationships. It's really a great place to work and its inviting environment make you want to stay for years. The company also has many events and campaigns so there is always something to look forward. There is a lot of time and resources invested in culture and employees and not a penny goes waisted.

Cons

EL is not a wishy washy culture. If you want to succeed you can if you put in the effort necessary. It still is a 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. culture so you won't be asked to work unrealistic hours BUT if you aren't willing to dive in during the workday you probably aren't going to exceed or progress in leadership.

Cons

Doesn’t matter how much you sell, even the top SEAMs get pushed to produce more and more
