Pros
You get salary on time, bonus is decent. Insurance policy for associates and family is good. You can also expect one time additional bonus and 1 or 2 extra leaves in a year.
Cons
The organization lacks leadership across all levels. They talk big about promoting local talent but have appointed an American as MD to run India business, who is known for his proximity to the CEO (like a friends and family show). There is a change in priority every single month depending upon the mood of the India MD and they fail to keep a track of their own promises. It is a one man show, he manages everyone from operations to product and facilities to finance and support. Over communication and repetitive updates just to brag their own accomplishments, so be prepared to attend several unproductive meetings. If you are closer to the management, you will be nominated for an innovator award for doing nothing or very trivial stuff. Due to the newly introduced matrix model, associates in India are struggling to chose loyalty between local and US/UK based manager and the cat fight between managers across locations to take control is quite evident in meetings. The newly appointed arrogant leadership in India brags too much without having a clue of how a technology organization is run. Poor listening skills, the inability to accept mistakes due to a high pitch ego and the fight between old (Wipro) and new associates is a daily affair. You have to be careful in terms of reporting your personal and work related issue with HR as they too are seemed to be very close to the India MD. Bangalore as a location gets zero visibility or priority all the times.
