Now, the company's mid to high level management hires and promotes who ever they want to any position regardless of experience and education. A very non diverse and "old school good ole boy" mentality in the workplace and The staff has no room for career advancement once senior level is achieved. The workload never slows down and responsibility builds up faster than anything else. Other than a Lineman who still works an unreasonable amount of overtime no other positions in the company or a priority for wage raises. As of 2020 its not really a place to start a career, more like a stepping stone if anything else. I wouldn't even say that the positions are even stable seeing as most of their work is starting to be contracted out. If you can find out who their competitors are. I'd suggest trying to get hired there.
