      Pros

      The company made a difficult decision to shutdown a utility plant in the northeast. They let the employees know this a full two plus years prior. During the next two years Entergy provided job search aids, placement elsewhere within the company, substantial bonuses for staying through plant shutdown. They really went above and beyond to ensure their employees were taken care of regarding future employment.

      Cons

      The company as a whole is quick to jump on the latest business trends related to performance. These are occasionally implemented without regard to the dynamics of different power plants. Most often these new means to do business are difficult to implement and "fizzle" after a few months.

      This particular facility does not allow transfers, even at the best interest of the employee. There is a lot of micromanaging, lack of reasonable schedule, miscommunication or lack thereof, generic performance reviews, "safety over production" is not always the mindset, double standards and some nepotism, lack of teamwork.
