Pros
The pay there is pretty good, especially compared to similar jobs in New Orleans. Most of the people you work with, especially the people at the lower levels of the company, are really great to work with.
Cons
Electricity is a 24-7 product so you have to be willing to work 24-7. Management, at least in communications, doesn't really have any respect for personal time... although they pay lip service to it. There is also very limited upward mobility. The C suite would seemingly rather bring new leadership in from outside than promote from within, which means every level tends to stagnate since there's no real way to move up.
