High stress environment. Lots of turnover lately

Operations are run very thin, "too many Chiefs and not enough Indians". There is not enough time to accomplish everything expected of you, but that is ok because 70% of the activities you are asked to do is sending information to a black hole that no one looks at. You must be good at prioritizing and determining which activities will actually make a difference. Every week there is a new process you are expected to follow that gets sent out via email, it becomes impossible to keep track of. Company does a poor job benchmarking other industries and learning from them so every initiative that gets rolled out feels like we are trying to reinvent the wheel. Extremely top heavy organization and too many people trying to justify their jobs by coming up with the latest and greatest flavor of the month. Low performing individuals cannot get fired and they know it.
