Working at Entergy was enjoyable for the most part. The best thing I can say about it was that it was challenging.

Cons

Very poor work life balance. Compensation was competitive but lower than some other companies in the nuclear industry.

Pros

They used to be one of the best IT shop to work for, not anymore. They pay their employees well.

Cons

IT has been outsourced for the past 14 years. The remaining IT staff are pencil pushers, admin type positions for the most part. They recently replaced Leidos (SAIC) with HCL. It looks like the goal is to offshore as many IT positions as possible to India, things are not looking good... Very un-American move, wish leaders were more aware of their actions and had more love for their country and fellow Americans.
