Poor leadership is at the root of most bad companies, and Entergy Texas is no exception. Very few skill or personality assessments are performed before placing people into leadership roles, and many are promoted far beyond their competency. What's worse is that rather than acknowledge the problem, focus on knowledge transfer and start training individuals before promoting them, Entergy Texas continues moving its leaders further and further up the chain. This results in even more problems throughout the organization and makes it difficult for smart, hard-working employees to accomplish anything. Most good employees eventually leave the company once burn out sets in, and the bad apples take over.
