      Great pay, but very demanding

      Pros

      Excellent compensation and benefits; a lot of corporate knowledge among the workers - many have been with the plants since construction (30+ years).

      Cons

      Very demanding work schedule; normal work week is four 10-hour days, but the reality is that you work five 12-14 hour days just to keep up. Work is very reactionary and there is very little time to lean forward to get ahead of work requirements

      Flexible work schedule (8 10-hour days with every other Friday off); solid pay; good benefits; great variety of job opportunities and growth; very project-driven environment

      Cons

      Uncertain future: company has attempted to spin-off transmission business many times; weak training process for new employees; disconnect between upper level management and contributing employees
